Day 1: Johannesburg – O.R Tambo Airport

The largest city in South Africa, Johannesburg offers its visitors a truly African city adventure. With a rich cultural, economic and political history, Jo’burg or Jozi (as you’re sure to hear locals call it) has something to delight every traveller. Fascinating cultural encounters, a buzzing nightlife and restaurant scene and some of the best shopping on African soil are just some of the experiences you’re bound to enjoy while discovering this powerhouse of African economic centres.

Upon arrival in Johannesburg, you will be met by a representative from Travel Republic Africa, who will then accompany you on your transfer to the hotel of your choice:

Accommodation is on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

You will have the afternoon to spend at your leisure or alternatively you can book an additional tour, such as:

Lion Park, Johannesburg City Tour, Pretoria City Tour and many more.

Day 2: Half Day Lesedi Cultural Village tour with lunch or dinner

Situated about an hour’s drive from Johannesburg, Lesedi Cultural Village presents visitors with a fascinating look into the diverse cultures of the South African people. This must-see Jo’burg attraction allows you to visit and experience the traditions of five South African tribal groups, namely the Zulu, Xhosa, Basotho, Ndebele and Pedi people. By discovering their traditional ways of life, including ancestral customs, rites of passage and folklore, you will leave Lesedi Cultual Village enriched with a genuine insight into the ways of life of the South African people.

Rounding off your cultural excursion, a sumptuous buffet of traditional South African fare will be served.

Day 3: Johannesburg (OR Tambo) – Cape Town

After Breakfast you will be transferred to Johannesburg’s O.R Tambo International Airport for your flight to Cape Town.

Frequently voted as one of the world’s top travel destinations, Cape Town is a stunningly beautiful city on the southwestern tip of the African continent. With a diverse array of sights and attractions, there’s something for everyone in Cape Town. From the gorgeous white sand beaches that hug the city’s mountainous coastline to the vibrant shopping mecca at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, your time in Cape Town will undoubtedly leave you with countless fond memories.

Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be met by a representative from Travel Republic Africa, who will then accompany you on your transfer to the hotel of your choice:

Your first day in Cape Town will include a tour of Table Mountain (weather permitting), the iconic peak that towers above Cape Town city centre and that was recently named one of the New 7Wonders of Nature. Atop the impressive natural formation you will enjoy unparalleled views of Cape Town, Table and False Bays, Robben Island and with good visibility the entire Cape Peninsula all the way to Cape Point. The rest of your day will be spent exploring the many attractions and points of interest to be found in and around Cape Town’s city centre, including Company Gardens, the Castle of Good Hope, the South African Museum and the vibrant market at Greenmarket Square, where you will be able to find a treasure trove of African arts, crafts and souvenirs.

Day 4: Cape Town

Full-Day Cape Point Tour

Your next day in Cape Town will see you making the journey along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay towards the quaint fishing harbour town of Hout Bay.  Here you will enjoy gorgeous mountain and ocean views and a boat trip to see the Cape Fur Seal colony at Seal Island (weather permitting).

From Hout Bay you will travel along Chapman’s Peak drive, arguably one of the world’s most breathtakingly beautiful coastal drives, towards the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, a magnificent section of the Table Mountain National Park that boasts an impressive array of flora and fauna, including the unique and endemic fynbos floral kingdom as well as large numbers of animal and bird species. No trip to Cape Point would be complete without visiting the historic lighthouses that are perched on the tip of the Cape Peninsula, offering awe-inspiring vistas.

After lunch at a nearby restaurant in Simon’s Town, you will visit the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Day 5 – 6: Cape Town  

You will have these days to enjoy at your leisure or book additional tours such as Winelands, White shark cage diving, Helicopter rides and many more.

Day 7: Cape Town – Kapama Private Game Reserve

You will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport to catch your flight to Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport from where a short transfer will bring you to the lodge at Kapama Private Game Reserve.

Accommodation is on a Full board Basis + Lodge activities.

After settling in to your accommodation you will be escorted by qualified and trained game rangers and trackers on an afternoon game drive, looking to spot as many animal and bird species as possible. You will no doubt encounter some of the following mighty park residents: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo and many more.

Day 8 – 9 : Kapama Private Game Reserve

You will have 2 full days to savour the authentic African bush and safari experience at Kapama Private Game Reserve.

Morning and afternoon game drives are highly recommended, and will be accompanied by expert guides, rangers and trackers, making sure your wildlife adventures in Africa not only live up to your expectations, but greatly exceed them.

Day 10: Kapama Private Game Reserve

Enjoy one last morning game drive through Kapama, taking the opportunity to say goodbye to the African bushveld.

You will then be transferred to Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport for your flight to Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport to connect for your outbound flight home.
