The Drakensberg Mountain Range in South Africa is a world heritage site, and nestled within is the exquisite Cathedral Peak Hotel. On Christmas day in 1939, this beautiful hotel first opened its doors to guests, and hasn’t closed since.
Accommodation in the 104 rooms at the hotel offer views of the surrounding mountains, and are all ensuite. There are numerous activities on offer, from table tennis and a games room, a fully equipped gym with a steam bath; as well as guided hikes (there are 18 different hikes to choose from) and bird-watching tours, pony rides, mountain bike trails, tennis, squash, bowls, fly-fishing, adventure golf and more; including a 9-hole golf course.
Coupled with the beautiful views and elegantly furnished accommodation, Cathedral Peak Hotel also offers guests extensive buffet meals for breakfast and dinner.
