There is a little known natural wonder occurring approximately 12 km offshore from Gansbaai in Cape Town. This tour includes return transfer, breakfast or light lunch, cold drinks on board, equipment necessary for immersion as well as ammunition. Guests are issued a diving certificate after the shark dives.
Because of the two adjacent islands and the channel that runs between them, Dyer Island has become known as one of only two unique areas in the world where the chances to view the great white shark rises exceptionally high.
There are other incredible species to view on this trip including Cape Fur Seals, Cape Gannets, Cape Cormorants, Jackass penguins, Whale and Dolphin. Once anchored in the channel a specially designed steel cage floats about one meter below the surface.
Those not onboard for the dive still have a great opportunity to view the feeding of sharks from the safety of the boat, where exhilarating photographs and video may be captured at close range.
The trip lasts around 8 hours and takes place all year round. There is visibility from three to 15 meters, and the incredible sharks are between 2.5 meters and 6 meters long!
